Yet another disruption. GSM only or bouncing to edge. Boston to 495 loop.

This is getting old really fast...

Sigh....our IT folks have a direct line to Cingular major account folks so hopefully I will have an answer shortly.

Default Yes, confirmed from AT&T

Just got off phone with At&T wireless. they say that all of northeast is having problems. They claim that it was Blackberry that updated somehting although I think that may not be the case. How could BB be affecting GSM-EDGE coverage? He said that Treo users on EDGE had no problems in this area. Don't know if that's true.

Strange, but possible. My wife is on AT&T with a WM device and she has had no issues this morning. Her data access has been fine.

I had GSM only in Marblehead at 5:45 this morning. By 7, EDGE was back and I have EDGE in Boston now as well.

expect lots of hickups with ATT for 2 reasons

1) they are updating cell sites from Cingular to ATT and this may cause service disruptions (it did here in PA for a little bit)

2) their EDGE network is under a lot of stress because of the iPhone

I just spoke with AT&T business customer service.
They said 24-48 hours until data is back up.
I hope that's their "company line" and not the actual estimate.

I just noticed the change to ATT.....hmmm, wonder if that screwed things up.

EDGE is back but still no email or Web access.
