Hey all,

I just got a white Pearl, and I like it so far (with the exception of the keyboard - I miss the 8700 keys) and I am just wondering, besides getting a screen protector, what case would be good for it? Or pouches if they are available. I just dont want to get scratches on it.

I use the OEM leather holster and I'm happy with it, if you don't want a holster the rubberized skins are a good choice as well.

I recommend this:

ShieldZone - Screen Protector for iPod, PDA, Cell Phone & PSP

just type 8100 in their search bar. They work great and you can't hardly even see it. They have excellent customer service, too.

I use the rubber case for my Pearl. Awesome product. Ruggedizes the pearl a bit.

I actualy used a invisibleShield screen protector on my 8700g for almost a year, never had any problems, I'm gonna get one of those. Just need to settle on a case now.

Anything that will protect the whole body in case I drop? I know it wont save its life, but maybe from scratches at least?

I'm pretty decent at applying things that require time and skill but the invisible shield sucks to put on.

Can anyone recommend those rubberized covers? Are they any good, do they interfere with typing, calls, camera?

The IS isn't too difficult after you've applied one or two. If scratches are your major concern the IS or BSE is the way to go IMO. No impact protection but I've dropped several models with just an IS on concrete (not intentionally) without any problems.

invisible shield was by far the easiest and most efficient way of installing a screen protector, the spray makes it very easy.
