Two days agi, I got my new 8700g and it is awesome. Yesterday I found out that 8700g's net work mess up because Network alway on Cingular not t-Mobile weird. When network cingular is not work because no signal. I scan network to get T-Mobile netowrk but it was too short time. That's problem. I called T-Mobile service about it and they said my 8700g is no good. So My wife took my 8700g to T-Mobile store and maybe fix it or replacement. I am waiting until tonight when my wife come home. I will find out what's wrong with my 8700g.

I'm also having same problem with network on my new 8700g. At times it would freeze and get disconnected then had to turn the wireless off to reset the connection. I saw twice that the network is on Cingular, not T-Mobile. Just got my new 8700g two days ago too.

I just talked with T-mo Tech Support. If your network settings are set to automatic, the BB will try and find the nearet network. T-mo has some roaming privilages with Cingular and you may see that network if the BB cannot find the T-mo network.

My wife's bb7230 is no problem for network. Maybe most BB8700g have little problem. I hope they will solve the problem soon.

My previous BB7230 didn't have this kind of problem. Been using it for at least 2 years! I'm starting to question if my 8700g might be somewhat defective. Got disconnected twice in 2 days....that's not normal if I compared to my old 7230. Also I see brown smudge on screen by the side whenever I put on my sunglasses.

Are your sunglasses polarized?

Well, at least it was in a language close to English. The same cannot be said for my friend whose screen name begins with H.

And yes, you'll see brown on your LCD with polarized glasses.

I wasn't sure what's that brown on my screen when I'm wearing my sunglasses. Now it makes sense if wearing a polarized sunglasses. Maybe using "smudge" isn't the right word to use. Sorry about the confusion. But you got what I'm trying to say. Still the display is far better than my old BB7230!

Yep - I have to look at my 'Berry from under my sunglasses (rather than through them) when I'm driving.
