Hi,

I was in Spain the last week and know for sure that the Amena network there sends the city name your in as a Cell Broadcast. On my Nokia and Windows Mobile 2003 phone this was on Cell Broadcast channel 50.

I did not figure out how to get this working on my BlackBerry Pearl: I have set the channel to 50 but no Cell Broadcast showed up in all off the standard themes.

Does someone know how to get this to work ???

go to options. Go to Advanced Options. Scroll up to Cell Broadcasting. Turn it on. Hopefully this will help you
