For those of you who have ordered from Amazon, how long did it take for yours to arrive? According to my e-mail notification, it's being shipped via DHL@Home service and is not scheduled for delivery until Oct 17th. This is Amazon's "standard" shipping method and eight days from now for delivery seems a little excessive.

What's been your Amazon shipping experiences?
I ordered mine on 9/29. It shipped on Oct. 5 (Friday) and was delivered Oct. 9 (Tuesday). Keep in mind that Oct. 8 (Monday) was a postal holiday. When I log into Amazon it says "Completed" and still says "Delivery estimate: October 29, 2007 - November 12, 2007" even though the tracking status already says "Delivered".

dwc,

Did you have to call Venicom to find out if they shipped your BB? Or did they update your order status page with a FedEx tracking number?

I ordered on Friday and my status still says it was backordered still. I called them today and they said they had them in now and just need to get them activated and will ship out soon. Just curious.

My 8320 arrived today, but I wasn't home to get it! So I'll have to wait until tomorrow. I ordered on 9/29 with standard shipping.

The way I first found out was when I got a "Welcome" SMS from Tmob on my existing phone saying I had been activated. So I knew that Venicom had initiated my new phone's plan. Later that morning I got the notification email from Venicom:

"Venicom would like to thank you for your order.

Below is a summary of your order information. Your devices have been shipped. You will be able to see the shipping status on FedEx's website after 6pm MST...."

The email included a Fedex link. Venicom ships 2-day on their standard shipping.

I ordered from Amazon and I need to cancel and get the phones through my local retailer. (long story)

Anyways, what's my best way to cancel? Receive them and then return them? Or refuse the delivery when they come?

Thanks!

Refuse delivery.

My Amazon package was delivered by USPS so refusing delivery wasn't an option (they just leave it there).

Another Amazon question......

If I keep the phones I ordered from Amazon, is Amazon tied to the activation somehow? (I assume they are) Or can I take them to a T-Mobile retail outlet and give them credit for the activation?

Reason is I know someone who just opened a cell-phone joint where one of their carriers is T-Mobile....they will match the price I'm getting through Amazon and basically break even on the deal. The only reason they'd do it is because it would help their monthly quota. But if I could buy the phones from Amazon and then get them activated with my friend, that would be even better.
