Default opera mini failing to connect to Internet

Please Login to Remove!

After upgrading to the new OS 180, I cant get my mini O to work anymore. I even deletedit from the BB, and reinstalled it OTA and from the desktop manager, still not avail.

I've done the following as well: APN ("wap.voicestream.com", for T-Mobile) and then going into Options -> Security Options -> Application Permissions -> Opera Mini -> Edit Permissions -> Connections -> (Click) -> Reset Firewall Prompts.

It just says "Failed to connect to the Internet" please visit operamini.com/help and thats it. I always allow it to access the network both times it asks me.

Any suggestions?

Working fine here on Orange UK - looks like you all have a common factor ... T-Mobile.

Actually on the 8800 for Tmobile it works fine, the common factor seems to be the 8320.

I have an 8320 on T-Mobile, and though it sometimes takes too long to connect to a website (20 40 seconds), it does work quite well.

Opera doesn't even load far enough to get to the settings (in my case).

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Personally never had an issue, know some pearl 4.2.1.107 users that had some issues with beta 3, but final release works fine on both 8320s (180)and all three 8100s (107). People were not noting the version of opera with issues but like I said I have seen no issues on my 8320 with any of the beta's or final release and using the socket connection still. Partially want to say I think it was just beta 3. Also if you had it installed before you did an OS update delete and reinstall IMO and experience 3rd party apps work better with fresh install after OS upgrades.

how can we go back to the previous OS version from 180? I dont have the installation files or anything, but I can try that and see if it works with opera 4.

It finally worked for me.

It requires a hard reboot (battery pull). I am using .180

I did a battery pull while the phone was on, as suggested on another thread I believe.

Is there another way of doing a hard reboot?
