I have 2 lines of e-mail preview on the e-mail menu and I thought I only had 1 before. Can anyone confirm this or am I just delusional?

Gained memory as well.

No one ever really knows...RIM prefers to let us guess.. but since you list your carrier as ATT, it puts you on their "official" OS which might make things easier if you have to call them for any reason about your phone.

For those of us that have at&t, do we still need to delete the Vendor.xlm file out of this OS from at&t?

I updated last night with no problems until this morning. While reading this thread, I started getting the hourglass, and the handheld exited out to my lock screen. Whenever I logged back in, the system would hourglass and lock the screen again. I wasn't running any other apps, and had plenty of available memory. I've pulled the battery, and will be monitoring cautiously over the next few days. Curiously waiting to see if others end up having similar issues with this build.

You know what's really weird, I got an email from [email address] yesterday telling me about this upgrade. I have the AT&T Curve but use it on TMO. I probably registered it on the RIM site (can't remember but I could have).

So for those who say RIM never tells us what is being upgraded, this is what the email said:

That is from 4.1 to 4.5 ... not from 4.5.x to 4.5.y.... 4.1 to 4.5 has been known for a while, but this minor version updates we have no info on.

Complain to RIM. The folks here are just passing on the news and have not control over what RIM releases.

Another nOOb question. I did a quick search but didn't find the answer. When you download the new OS, do you need to delete the pre-existing OS that was downloaded on the computer? I installed V.99 a week or so ago and I was going to install the new OS but I want to be sure that it doesn't just re-install V.99.

Thanks

Using Loader.exe will back up and erase and install. I always backup w/DM for safety measure incase I need a plan B. You just never know

Your welcome. That's the way I do it. Maybe JSanders,Clark or the others may say differently. Only time I erased before install is when I was downgrading

I have 7 different 4.5 OS's on my PC. The only time I have removed them was when I uninstalled Desktop Manager, which for some silly reason, removes the OS's also.
