My new 8230 is due in today, and I have a SanDisk 6GB card scheduled for delivery either today or tomorrow. I'll report back on their compatibility.

Thanks KD! I'm ordering one of these today as well.

The SanDisk 6GB microSDHC card is working fine in my 8320. I haven't tested it with a completely filled card yet, but it is able to read about 1.2 GB of music, ringtones, and video files.

I had to have mine today. It was either

1GB at Circuit City for $45

or

2GB at Costco for $30

Guess which I picked

I'm having problems with my SanDisk 6GB microSDHC card. Either it's not compatible with the 8320, or I have a bad card. My SanDisk 4GB card hasn't shown any errors, so I'll stick with that one for the time being.

I've been up all night trying out my new 8320.

I'm looking into purchasing a 4gb MicroSDHC card for my 8320. Does anyone know what the difference is between the 4096-A11M and 4096-E11M SanDisk model?

Actually, I was looking at SDSDQ-4096-A11M for $57 and SDSDQ-4096-E11M for $48.... Would either one work on a 8320? Thanks...

That's a good question. I was about to order the 4GB from newegg but now it looks like amazon has the better deal. The only difference between the two seems to be that the cheaper card from amazon has adapters included.

4GB for $48. Not bad!

I could easily fill up a 4GB with music and a movie or two.

I got a 2GB SanDisk at BestBuy for $39, the good old "I need it now" took over instead of just getting one cheaper at NewEgg and waiting the few days for it to be shipped.

I have an 80GB Ipod, and I just ordered the 4gb micro sd card from amazon today. I figure if it will support a 4gb card, and the 4gb card is only marginally more expenisve than the 1 or 2gb models...why not? I can fill up about 3gb's with music, and have the other 1gb for pictures.
This will allow me to have a fair ammount of music with me, without having to have my ipod on me as well. I can't wait!

Don't get the Sandisk 6GB for your 8830!!! I bought one, put it in and it needed to be formatted on the phone. Did that and only 1.68GB show up! Then I tried to format it on the PC - where it should format to full capacity - BUT - only formats to 1.68GB, even on PC! And I contacted Sandisk and followed all there instructions (even tho I'm not a novice). Seems the 6GB will only format to 1.68GB !!! And Sandisk tech support is a bunch of worthless boobs.

Same thing happened to me with my 8320. You can use a partition program to format it back to 6GB. You'll need to combine the 1.6GB formatted partition with the unallocated partition that has the missing storage space.

My 4GB SanDisk card has been error free, so I'm using that one instead now.

Got my 4G Sandisk from new egg for $60 including shipping, but it seems like amazon is selling them for about $10 cheaper.

I just ordered mine from Amazon for a similar price ($58 after an extra $9 for 1-3 day shipping). I'll let everyone know how it works after I put some time in with it.

On sale right now at Fry's, a 2GB Lexar micro SD with SD Adapter for $24.99. Works flawlessly in my BB Curve. another thing, I first tried a Kingston 2GB micro sd and it was pathetic. 2 laptops didn't even recognize it. Using the media application for the BB froze the app most of the times, and when it did detect the card, it would prompt me to turn on the mass storage, even after the mass storage was activated. Formatting the memory card with the BB resulted in a formatt failed message.

Bestbuy has the 4gb SanDisk with adapter and USB reader on sale for $80.99, which isn't bad if you are looking for instant gratification. You just have to print out the details from their website and they will match it in store (in store price is 90 bones). I ended up going that route after Newegg screwed up and sent me a full size 4GB SD card instead of the microSD card I ordered.
