Default Sending out music via Bluetooth?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, sorry if this is a noobish question - and if it is, then hopefully you guys can answer it that much easier.

I know one can send contacts via BT to an in-car receiver, but it is possible to stream music from the Pearl to a receiver? I've tried searching but I can't seem to find anything conclusive. Anyone have suggestions/answers?

Thanks so much!

To send music via bluetooth you would have to go into the media file, highlight (do not select) the file you wish to xfer, select on menu, select send using bluetooth. at that point you would select the device your sending it to and the file will xfer.

Hope this was what you were looking for. :0)

Thanks for the response, but unfortunately, it's not what I meant. My fault, however, the word I should have used is 'stream' rather than send. SInce my first post I've noticed that there are receivers available that accept streamed music over bluetooth, so I guess my question now is, can the Pearl do it?

Thanks.

I guess if your receiver has the function so that it acts like a pair of BT headphones, it's possible, not sure any company has actually made that into cars though.

To stream music to anything, ie bluetooth headset and car stereo, you need A2DP. The Pearl has bluetooth 2.0 but does not support A2DP, well not yet atleast. So right now it is not possible to stream music to anything.

I know at least BOSS and Sony have done it. Sony's is the Sony MEX-BT5000, you can search Crutchfield for it (I don't have enough posts to post URLs)
