Default Video on your Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

Has anybody downloaded or uploaded video on their BB yet?

I bought a microSD and tried uploading a few videos on to my Pearl. They Uploaded on to my Pearl alright, atleast I think so, but when I tried playing them later, they wouldn't play.

Maybe there's a filesize limit or a limit on resolution of the video.. Does anyone know?

Look at the sticky thread at the top of the forum. It explains how to encode the video to work on the Pearl.

The videos are probably not encoded for the Pearl correctly. Like it was said, you can read the sticky and learn how to encode them properly.

There is a BB Video Encoder that costs a few bucks, and there is also a FREE encoder somebody made (basically GUI for the sticky thread instructions) BB Video Encoder 1.01? something like that, look around the forum, you'll find it for sure.

BTW, there is only a file limit size when you copy files to the Pearl's internal memory, not to your SD card.

The post above mine is correct. I did the same thing and tried to play files that worked on my PC on the Pearl without converting them. None of them worked.

I converted a lot of stuff from DVD too. I have a good All American Rejects / Fountain of Wayne concert, some (ahem) adult stuff too.

The quality is very good after conversion.

Wow I have no idea how the search tool missed those threads, especially the sticky.. I just got a working video on the BB and IT PLAYS! Now just to play with it some more some other day, I'm off to bed now, I'm dead tired. Thanks everyone!
