Ugh, when is this phone coming to Verizon...I'm tired of having the best phones last. Love the network, but the slowest to get the best. The Storm without an actual keyboard can't hold a candle to the Bold.

Good luck. Verizon may get the Bold, but it will be a long ways out. Especially since they just got the Storm, and are the only carrier in the US to have it.

Do yall think one can get a Sprint Bold and put on VZW if money was not an issue as the storm sucks and my 8830 looks like an antique.

ME WANT BOLD, ME WANT 8930.....

Sorry, I guess I'm new to this...what does "flash the device to VZW" mean? I thought that Sprint phones couldn't be used on the VZW network, much unlike the ability to use ATT phones on TMobile or vice versa?

Someone please clue me in, because if I can go get a Sprint Bold and use it on VZW, I might just do that.

When I download software ie 4.5.0.101 and remove the vendor.xml and it works and is cdma carrier agnostic.

Does not an 8830 works for either sprint or VZW?

Technically yes, practically no. Sprint has always had a policy that they'll activate only phones they sell. I.E. They have the ESN in their database. I believe Verizon has also started doing this in the past few years.

My sprint rep told me not to expect the bold to be released until August. I hope he is wrong!

Sprint here in Alabama sucks. No EV DO Rev A except in BIG cities. VZW is EV DO Rev A in 99% of the state.
