Exclamation 8700 - TMobile - April 17

Please Login to Remove!

Hey gang,

Just an FYI - I had my T-Mobile rep in my office yesterday, and she informed me that they are launching the BB 8700 on April 13.

I dont know if this is "old news" for you guys or not - but I just wanted to pass it along, in case you didnt know.

Thanks,

Good - that fits with the late March, early April. We've heard a bunch of different dates, and that fits in the range.

Our rep yesterday was a little more vague, but said that it would be "early to mid April."

That's great news.

What do you guys think - 1 or 2 year contract?

Pif! No contract. I'd much rather pay full price and not be tied down.

They still offer both with the heavier discount favoring 2 years like everyone else. I asked our corporate rep if they had truly dropped 1 yr plans. She said no, but the push is on 2 yr agreements as you would expect. I would imagine that the discount on this device will play out in that direction. Pricing aside, I was told that it will prove to be worth having waited for.

One question I have to those more knowledgeable in these areas is about the purported release date (April 13th). My calendar shows that as a Thursday.

I thought major product releases like this were done on Mondays and Tuesdays. Is that not so?

I believe the April 13th release will be for the (Insert word of choice)and the consumer release will soon follow. The general public will prob. see a release on a Monday or Tuesday very soon after the corporate sale release. At least that tends to be the general process.

Pretty darn sweet looking!! I have the OEM Leather Case on it's way to me now and it will be patiently waiting to protect this new beauty!
