I did say after all these years without upgrading can't they do a better deal? I alos said I could switch to cingulair, but he said go ahead we ahve a better plan. I guess I don't sound threatneing enough when I say i am leaving (5 years on one plan probabley give me away) I guess if i don't get a better deal I will probably cancel my t-mobile month to month and sign up somewhere as a new contract. I don't care, unlike others, if I keep my same cell number.

I just ordered mine for $199.99 with a 2 year agreement and free express shipping. They first tried the $349 - $50 rebate, but I just said I will go to Cingular then. They put me on with a specialist and she immediately offered me the $199 no rebate deal. Try it, it works! I did not want to do any contract, but I figured if I cancelled and paid the $200 cxl fee I am still $80 bucks ahead ($479.99 without a contract). Now I just have to wait until Thursday!

No...when they told me about the 349/299 deal. I told them that amazon.com and buy.com are giving the Cingular version away for free after rebates, and that I would be more that happy to take by business over there.

They said hold on...then they put me through to a account specialist who offered me the 179 deal. The first rep specifically said that she cannot offer the same deals as the account specialist.

My suggestion is if they don't offer you the deal, then just hang up and call back til you get a better rep.

Hope this helps

i also bit on the 199 +tax for 2 year extension . he said it would be 314+tax for one year extension. i added the 19.99 unlimited internet and 5.99 insuarance on the phone. figured expensive phone, better have the insurance in case its stolen, broken, etc.. i had to go to retensions to get this deal. just be really nice and honest with the first customer rep and they will pass you to retensions.

I didn't even have to get passed on to the account specialist. I told her that numerous people (on this list without mentioning the list) were getting the device for $179, mentioned the 8700c price on Amazon and told her that we should get the same deal. After some back and forth, and putting me on hold to check with her supervisors, she gave it to us for $179.

I swear, sometimes its like buying a car.

It's the same way they hawk the phones in the mall as you walk by the kiosks. Whoever decided phones needed to be sold that way did a disservice.

Talking Missing features and the likes...

I just got my 8700g and I noticed a couple of things, they got rid of the classic 7230/7290 ringers!!! agghhh..... And they did away with the 'saved messages' icon, now you have to access that via the trackwheel on the 'messages' icon. Also the plastic on this feels plasticky...not that hard plastic the 7230/7290 were made off...and my battery cover is lose, had to fold a business card and use it to tighten the fit. BUT I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Hey everyone, I have a quick question. I downloaded BBReply, and set up my two e-mail addresses. I have both accounts set up in BIS (Yahoo and my work), yet I cannot delete the "reply to" in BIS under my [email address] in order for BBReply to work. When I go to use BBReply, this is the message I get:

"Message is not using Web Client Service. Set Reply To will not work"

Can anyone help me? I'm almost there! I almost have it all set up!

FINALLY!!! The third time was a charm. Talked with the first person, mentioned the Cingular offer that was free after rebate. She then transferred me to the "account specialist". Accepted the offer of $199 w/ 2 yr extension.

It's the plastic holster that people refer to as "the launcher".

I looked T-Mobile for plan online. I can't find $19.99 a monthly. Where do I find it?
