Default SOS - network

Please Login to Remove!

My BB 9900 is with Vodafone UK.

Lately I get the SOS message on the network bar.

Going into Mobile Network settings the mobile network selection is shows as O2 UK.

As i do not have an O2 contract i do not get the connection.

I have to force it a manual network mode to find the Vodafone signal and connect to it.

Has anybody else experience this problem.
Is it a network problem or a device fault

Thanks

Sounds like a SIM card issue.

I get sos in poor signal areas (for Rogers) when either Telus or Bell have a stronger signal and Rogers drops too low. If Vodafone UK has a strong signal when you get sos from O2 UK then it could be a hardware/sim issue or it could be a week signal or an overloaded network from Vodafone UK.
