I just upgraded my Sprint Tour from 4.7 to 5.0. The internet seems much slower now even though I am still in the same coverage area where it has always been fast. In the past the blue bar moved steadily along bottom. Now it hangs for 5-30 seconds on 5% then it goes quickly across. I searched the forums and the only similar problem wasn't similar at all because the user had slow internet before the upgrade. Has anyone else gotten slow internet from 5.0? There are other changes I don't like but maybe I am not used to them, but the internet is a killer. The upgrade process was much smoother than when I upgraded to 4.7. Any other users have similar experience?

Are you on a BES? If so, check Options >> Advanced Options >> Browser. Make sure that your "Default browser configuration" is set to "Internet Browser" (not "BlackBerry Browser").

Don't know what BES means but I checked the setting you mentioned and it says INTERNET BROWSER not BB Browser. The only thing I changed was the OS to 5.0.

I have sprint also and this seems to be true also, my gf has the same phone and it's true for her also. It's not horrible slow but it's slower. I use this phone all the time and I know because my streaming skips sometimes now.
