Default China Mobile devices with US BES

Please Login to Remove!

Our BES is in US but we are opening an office in China. We are purchasing BB's from China mobile so we can have local China phone numbers, but we want to activate them on our US BES.

Are there any issues I should be aware of? Is there anything extra we need to be sure the devices have to be able to activate them? Someone once mentioned to be sure they have all the right protocols - what protocols do they use in China and what do we use here in US?

Thanks for any help or feedback.

As long as the handhelds have BlackBerry service they will work fine.

The BES won't care what networks devices are running through or in what countries the devices originate, the BES is just looking for a device PIN.

Better to check with China Mobile to see if they are able to provision for BES service... ÖйúÒƶ¯Í¨ÐÅ

I have blackberries from all over the US and Europe on my Rogers BES and everything works fine. However, China has all kinds of strange laws regarding internet access and encryption so I would look into that before you activate them. I think the government would have something to say about it because it will give those blackberry users unrestricted internet use through MDS.
