8 bits in a byte, 1024 bytes in a Kilobyte. So about 89MB left on the storage for applications, plenty. I've had mine dip down to about 70MB free, which is tons of space when you're not installing more apps.
BTW I'm not too sure if sending a bug report on unsupported beta software will do much. I'm not too sure if RIM looks into that stuff from end-users. Technically you're using software that isn't official.
I really like the CPU/RAM monitor!

Re: Leaked OS: Blackberry Bold 9700 6.0.0.358
So I had installed the OS and was enjoying it, but then I could no longer go into my messages folder or my SMS one. The only way I could message was via bbm and eventually that stopped working as well. Any thoughts? I was debating on just removing it with the JL_Cmder, but the I realized I didn't back up my phone previously to installing it :S

I suppose either is feasible, just curious which you're referring to?

LOL I meant "reporting" a bug in this thread! Thanks for the conversion info, I appreciate that.

Would they not be one and the same? Are you referring to device memory vs. application memory?
Originally, I was referring to the latter.

Re: Leaked OS: Blackberry Bold 9700 6.0.0.358
So....
I would say there is maybe a bit of a memory issue in this release compared to .344.
I'll have to do some more investigation but I'm sitting at 271MB Used with 49.0MB free.
Applications are using 270MB and BlackBerry 6.0.0.0 System Software is using 232MB
This seems to be almost 30-40MB more than the previous leaked OS.
Battery pull time

Re: Leaked OS: Blackberry Bold 9700 6.0.0.358
Does anyone have an issue where when you click on the home screen top ribbon bar to open Manage Connections that the cursor will then scroll down through the options and disappear below the bottom of the screen and not come back until you escape out and go back in again? I can't use any of the options below the first part of the displayed screen. If I open Manage Connections with the icon then it works fine, it's just when you open by selecting the top ribbon bar on the home screen.

I hadn't noticed, but yes. Mine does the same thing.

Re: Leaked OS: Blackberry Bold 9700 6.0.0.358
I've tried twice to upgrade my 9700 from 5.xx to 6.0.0.358 Each time, I get the fancy opening, and the disclaimer, to which I click OK.
But once the phone comes up, it is basically a white screen with really, really small icons at the bottom. The BB is not very usable in this form.
I figure that I am doing something wrong. I delete the vendor.xml file, then did the update. But the same thing happened twice.
I can roll back to 5.xx, and that works perfectly each time.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Rob

are you trying to install from DTM or from the APPLOADER program? it will work best from the APPLOADER program as you shouldn't upgrade from 5.0 to 6.0 but do a clean install

Its been posted about in this thread. You need to read the other posts. Pay particular attention to the ones that talk about a white screen and no theme. We explain that you need to remove a couple of theme .cod's. Then run apploader again. All will be well.

@John Clarke
I have the same problem.
After "alarm", the cursor is missing and never comback.

Re: Leaked OS: Blackberry Bold 9700 6.0.0.358
It's been fun using OS6 on the 9700. But I just got a case of 9800's and my boss is making me take one.
:D

Re: Leaked OS: Blackberry Bold 9700 6.0.0.358
I'm finding a couple of bugs with this version, but am generally happy with .358. In my calendar, i used to be able to scroll from day to day by swiping my touchpad. That no longer functions. I have to use the menu to 'go to date'. Otherwise, connecting to WiFi is easy. I DO NOT like the menu system...giving me various 'screens' like favorites, downloads, media...just not necessary, and, seems to be built for a touchscreen. Only 1 or 2 of my 'important' programs won't run on OS6, but everything works great, and, even with all of my 'unnecessary' apps installed, I still have 50MB of memory left. Memory management seems to work well. My main concern is in the calendar. Anyone having the same issue? Any workaround? Expect it to change?
Thanks!

Re: Leaked OS: Blackberry Bold 9700 6.0.0.358
Right when 354 came out I was incredibly excited, I updated immediatly and then lived to regret it because it simply played havoc with my battery life . Battery would be dead in a day . It was a joke .
Then 358 came out I upgraded and I can say so far no mem leaks , hardly any battery issues . Still have a few issues like when a website link is posted in ubertwitter I can't click it and open up automatically in web browser . But that is just nit picking
