Default Software using online data problem on OS 5.0

Please Login to Remove!

I don't know you guys here got this problem or not. But after using OS 5.0, I got this problem if I move from this area to another area or region to another region (of course w/o Wifi)

Software using online data such as gmail, BerryWeather, Google Maps, ... will not able to update while browser work well.

That somehow is very frustrated because if I want to use those softwares again, I will have to restart my phone
Can someone here confirm this problem or how to fix it?

When you get to a new "region" as you call it, especially if by plane, leave the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a minute and replace it reboot. That will normally re-establish data communications.

Thanks JSanders for your reply.
That is what I've done so far with my phone
It seems there is no way to keep the phone running with update-requirement software on the go.
I always have to reboot my phone by doing so to make those software work again

That's not uncommon to force your device to "see" the new towers. You can always just try Manage Connections > and turn off and on your Mobile Network off and back on.

Yes, I did
But the problem keep the same.

By the way, I am from Vietnam and I posted this problem to a Vietnam forum. There are several users came and posted the same problems that I raised here.
All of them confirmed that the problem was from OS 5 because some of them are used to own a 8900 then they upgraded to 9000 or 9700.

Is this possible to find a better way?

True, the "radio" code in the OS you are on could be different. Downgrading the OS could be a solution for you.
