Hi all,

My BB app can create a contact list--include name, mail address and phone number after access a special mail, then allows user to select one or multiple mail addresses, the question is: how to store the contact list in Blackberry device permanently? Thanks in advance.

the easiest and most common method is to use a persistant store, see the developer guide for a good example.

Thanks, Simon.
One more question: what is the limitation of BB version 3.6 or later? since there will be 130 rows of contact info(name, address, phone).
Thanks again for your response.

3.6 means the firmware version of the blackberry. the most recent is 4.1, some people still run 4.0 or 3.6 though.
the RIM API integrates new functions from time to time.
Since: JDE 3.6.0 means that this class was integrated in the 3.6 firmware and can only be used on devices running 3.6 or higher.
i never encountered a device running a pre-3.6 version so i think you are on the save side

Hi Simon,
Thanks for you useful response.
I have a doubts if the Persistent store can allow user to launch the customized contact list which store on the device, selecting one or more contacts will return that contacts into my application so that I can retrieve its values -- like a list field.
Best regards,
