Sena case has shipped
Please Login to Remove!
I just received an email from Sena that my case has shipped on 2/14. Should have it in a few days.
Has anyone else received their case?

Seattle18 may get his first due to his proximity to CA. Hopefully he will post pictures when it arrives...

For screen protection I would go with the Navprotector

Try this thread. It goes through all of the screen protection that people have tried for the 8700c.

I found it very helpful.

Problems with the sena case
I received my Sena case yesterday. There is a problem. When the 8700 is fully inserted into the case, 1-2 mm of the top edge of the screen is hidden under the leather strip that runs across the top of the case. This results in partial hiding of the date and time. Also, the three holes in the earpiece isn't centered in the cut out - the holes are close to the top edge of the cut out. All of this seems to be a result of the case not being deep enough to that the 8700 can be inserted further down.
I'll be interested to hear what others find when they get their cases.
Does anyone know how to contact the company by phone?

Not a good sign. If this is the case(pun intended), then I'm sure I will be sending mine back. You would think that they would have tested the initial design before these went into production.

Thanks for the number. I have just spoken to them - they are looking into the problem. I will try to post some pictures later this evening.

Well that is a little disappointing to hear. My 8700c sena case is in the mail and on its way. I will say my sena PDA case was very tight and form fitting but very precise. Hopefully that will make any necessary changes if they are a little off...It is the first run. Please keeps us in the loop with what happens.

The case fitment looks pretty close to me. Maybe slightly off around the speaker area. Any pics of the back of the case Kevin?

Sorry I don't have a Sena Case but could it be that the case has not been stretched enough? A few times when I receive a new case for one of my PDA's, I run into the same problem but pulling and stretching it usually solve the problem...

Sena for 8700
I just received my Sena case for the 8700 and i must say it is the best one i have seen,,,When i opened the box it smelled of quality leather...I ordered it in tan and the color is perfect..looks and feels like saddle leather,, The fit is just what the doctor ordered,,,they did their homework,,,, The flap is magnetic and closes and puts the BB to sleep,,, Ive never had a case with a big flap so ill have to see how it does with phone calls....I think you would have to go along way to find a better fit,,, My old case is a Gizmo which was ok when it was new,,,but it split on the side and had to get it fixed at the shoe maker,, Hope this info helps,,,
