I didn't find answer in FAQ.

I am using 8310 with ATT. is there any document regarding how to set up 8310 as modem using Bluetooth so that my laptop as connect to internet via bb?

Speed wise, how does it compare to using USB cable?

Thanks!

Don't think you can use the BT connection that way. Might be wrong though. I know on the 8700 it was voice only until OS 4.2 when we could sync via BT. Modem connection would be different I think.

It works on Windows via Cable or Bluetooth, tested it myself. Not working with linux.
You just have to pair the devices and connect to the Dial-Up-Networking on the BB.

Default What exactly do I type in?

Ok, so I am fairly computer illiterate...however, I am trying to use my Blackberry as a modem for my laptop. I am following all of the online instructions for it, but it still is not working. I think I might be doing some things wrong. First, what exactly do I type in under the "Extra initialization commands" part. Under all of the directions for AT&T users, it says to type in +cgdcont=1, "IP", "proxy". So my question is....do I enter that EXACTLY how it looks? Or do I actually put in my IP address and proxy in between the quotation marks? That is what I'm assuming, but I'm not sure.

The special instructions I use is

AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","wap.cingular"

and it worked fine. Hope this helps.
