Default Rogers - checking messages using BB 7280

Hello all,

I've been having problems with Rogers not sending e-mail messages to my BB lately, so I was hoping to use the web browser to log onto their web client to check my messages. Earlier today i was getting a "security error" when trying to log on. When I got home, I installed the 4.0 handheld software [AT&T]. Which seems to work fine, but I still can't view my inbox. Some urls give me an error, others, like through the Rogers' Navigate menu, let me login, but don't give me the option to view my messages. Sometimes I get a page that says I need to activate Javascript, but I did install Javascript with my 4.0 install and it seems to be activated. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, after a lot of hacking around, I found a way of bypassing the javascript detection. I just took the source of the login page, edited out all the javascript so it was just straight html and then uploaded it to my server. Using my BB, I could login using my altered page. It gave me a choice of frames to view. I chose Inbox and then TOC. It gives me a list of my messages.

Unfortunately, when I click on a message subject, it would not show the message body. More javascript I think, plus it's trying to send the text to a messagebox in another frame. Anyway, using my desktop PC, I managed to get the url used to view the message body, sent that to my BB and it was viewable in my BB. I can recycle this url later when I need to view a message, I think, by replacing the session ID with the ID of the current session.

Ick, what a hassle. You would think they would just make their Webmail page accessable via a BlackBerry. :(
