I have an unlocked blackberry 9520 (from Vodafone UK) and I'm using it to roam in Lebanon. Recently I've upgraded to the latest OS 5.0.0.436, and I noticed that I couldn't check the smart dialing option for Lebanon anymore, and it's telling me that smart dialing is not available in this country. How can I fix this problem (now caller ID cannot recognize numbers with 00961 code, this was not issue in previous OS, with smart dialing enabled)? Should I downgrade OS or there are any other solutions (maybe different carrier OS?)

Welcome to the Forums

If the previous OS supported the features you desire then I would go back. Sometimes features are changed with any upgrade and unless it's something that corrects a problem you have it does not hurt to stay with the version you have.

I'm on .436 and have Smart Dialing available, as well as I can choose Lebanon as a Country Code also (961). And, mine is also a Voda 9520.

A different carrier OS won't make a difference, .436 is .436, regardless of carrier.

When you select Lebanon as a country, can you enter phone length number and it doesnt show the message that "Smart dialing is not available in this country"?
