Default Deleting preloaded apps?

Please Login to Remove!

I tried to search, but I don't think i used the right words, cause I didn't find anything.

I was wondering if anyone has removed the preloaded stuff, and if so, what did you use or how did you do it?

I'd like to get rid of these shortcuts and apps that I know I'll never use if I can, instead of just hiding them.

Thanks in Advance.

The "junk" on the main screen you cant get rid of:
CNN, Fandango, the weather channel, ect. they are all weblinks to install the apps they link to. You will just have to hide them.

As of the preinstaleld games, or other "junk", goto:

options
device
application management
scroll down to find the target app
use the left BB button to bring up options
select Delete

Reboot when your finished removing your unwanted apps.

Enjoy!

i'd like to chime in on this. i just got my blackberry torch and enjoying it. although this is not my first bb (had a curve and a pearl prior), i'm not that proficient when it comes to the nuts and bolts of the blackberry. i was using them then mainly for phone and email features. i'm hoping that someone can answer my question:

i noticed that the two of the preinstalled apps/weblinks sonic 2 and at&t maps + nav icon (weblinks) on the homescreen and games folder had the browser icon. seems like the actual icons wasn't populating properly on that link (other weblinks, fandango, twc, cnn, facebook, etc were showing their own icons). didn't know what to do it was annoying the heck out of me. so i clicked on both weblinks and asked if i want to download. so i downloaded them even though i don't know if i'll ever use them. after the download, the icons came out (yay!). my question is, if i delete those applications, will it uninstall but leave the icons/weblinks on my homescreen just as it was before i downloaded? i was thinking of uninstalling it but don't want to not have the access to download it again if i want to. hope someone can answer that.

thanks!

i don't think you'll need your pc to delete those -- per his instruction. unless of course you want to back up your phone first. but it seems like you can do the deleting straight from your phone. good luck! let me know what happens Ü

Yes, removeing the app will still leave the original icon on the screen.

Did thay to me with weather channel and AT&T App Store.
Those must be links in the core OS someplace.

I just hid them.

so if i delete the app, the weblink will still be there on my screen so if i'd want to download them in the future, i still can?

did you mean that you had that general browser icon for the weather channel and att app store too?
