Default Newbie from Canada / Pearl or 7130

Hi....

I own a 7250 now, and now that we will have WNP on Wednesday, I'm considering jumping to the Pearl on Rogers or the 7130 on Telus.

Any of those owners want to chime in on what they think would be a better unit? (Also, Rogers users...how's the network these days - I had a Rogers phone about 10 years ago and it was terrible)

(I have an ipod, so I don't need the mp3 player on the pearl, but the camera would be nice on occasion)

Thanks

Mark

Greetings, welcome to the forum.

Between those two, I think I'd like the Pearl better.

Shoot....I like the Pearl too, but the CDMA (Telus) guys have a much better deal on minutes / data. Like $50-60 better per month for the package I'm looking at.

All depends on what you want to use it for and if screen resolution is a concern, media, ect....

The 8100 is a top of the line suretype device....

Originally, when I went from a regular mobile to the Blackberry 7250, it was strictly for data / email. Now, I would say that it's 90% data, 5% internet, and 5% other. I want a great data device, that has a speaker phone and the dedicated send and end keys, as I've almost gotten into accidents holding in the esc key on the 7250 to end calls (if my head set isn't plugged in).

I've made the decision to get the 7130. I tried the pearl today, and my big fingers just couldn't navigate that tiny keypad. The 7130 is more user friendly that way for us that need the extra room on the keypad. Plus the reality is, I don't need MP3 or Camera phone, and the 7130 is a much better deal, plus on the Telus network, the data / voice plan is a great deal right now.

thanks for the advice,

Mark
