Anybody familiar with the Mercedes C300? How can I get that sucker to BT pair with my Tour? I almost got into multiple accidents yesterday trying to do it... to no avail.

much appreciated

You've got to be kidding. Pair it WHEN YOU ARE NOT DRIVING!!!

Seriously, there should be a manual that comes with your car that tells you how to pair devices with your cars BT system.

Default duh

Uhh, no I wasn't kidding, but you're right -- it won't work unless the engine is off.

After more internet searching I found what worked for me and was able to successfully pair yesterday:
--------------------------------
this worked for me:

1) scroll to phone using your steering wheel buttons(that would be left arrow 3 times i think)

2) go to setup on your command screen

3) go to bluetooth

4)dont click find phone. move over to options and click it.

5) select outside discovery

6) find the car using your phones bluetooth connection then type your passwords

*I am not sure if these are the exact titles of the options, b/c i am not in my car

---------------------------------
Tried the above, but on step 4, I dont have the option to move over to "option" and click it. The only thing available is just the Update button and when I select that it searches for a bluetooth. My phone will prompt for the security code and I tried the following numbers with no luck: 0000, 00000, 1234, 12345, 0123. It'll try to pair, but always comes up with the message: "Unable to Pair with MB."
---------------------------------------
Yep I had the same exact thing..my phone was giving me "unable to pair"
Until I figure it out...

Honestly... it took me a while to figure out step 4... the option menu is not not very visible and kind of faded with the background... when you are on the "update" menu, shift the "mouse" or the control knob to the right (not scroll or turn the knb, rather push the control knob to the right... "Option" is now highlighted... click the the control knob... you will now see the "outside discovery"

Then both your phone and COMAND screen will prompt you with a passcode. Now you can pick any passcode (min. 4 digits) for your device pairing. Make sure that both your phone and COMAND have the same passcode... (unlike the process of pairing with other bluetooth device, you don't have to use the default BB code which is 00000)
