Anyone else's 8220 lag like all hell or is just mine? I thought i could handle it at first, but then playing with my brother's old curve i realized how slow it was. If anyone else had this lag issue, were you able to fix it?

4.6.0.174 unlocked with ATT, and removed a ton of unnecessary programs.

free onboard memory is 100567 kB, and 13350 is currently being used (according to memory viewer).

With the amount of free onboard memory you claim to have you must have installed a huge amount on the phone. You are almost out of memory completely. Mine shows, in comparison, 58,749,512 free. If you are down to just over 100,000 free you need to place items on your memory card immediately.

I do not feel like this phone operates as quickly as it should. It is definitely slower than other current BlackBerries. However, it is certainly not sluggish, and I am sure that your memory issues are the cause.

Wirelessly posted

The only thing i've got on my phone is beejive and memory viewer. All my ringtones and pictures are on my memory card (which is 8gb). And all my camera pics are saved to my memory card. I also removed unnecessary programs using desktop manager.

You reported yours in bytes which is 58MB

Memory is not the issue.

My phone lags insanely. I even had to do a switch because I got a defective phone, and the second one shows the same lag. I used to have an 8120 that went twice as fast.

The wife got her replacement 8220 last night and it is as fast or faster than my Curve. I held each in different hands and hit the keys to activate different programs. The Flip either beat the curve or was right with it on most tests.

Default Lag Issue

I traced the lag to med ia scanning.

go to media and see if it shows the scanning bar at the bottom. if so that is the cause.

I was running .174 and the lag was terrible

I went back to the .151 os and have no lag at all.
