Default Potential BIS outage???

Please Login to Remove!

I've noticed several users in various threads are complaining about not receiving email. Then the bell went off for me too. Nothing from the personal account for hours. Furiously emailed all directions (to and from various accounts) and nothing. Resent service books and all accounts are validated. Does anyone have access to the portion of RIM's site that would announce an outage?

I feel lost without my email..... :(

I'm located in Northern California and on AT&T.

I am T-Mobile on East Coast (Philadelphia, PA) and BIS is up and running but delayed. I re-sent the service books but it took 5 minutes to refresh. Give it some time before everything catches up.

RIM needs to figure out wtf is going on with their servers. this is getting out of hand in my opinion... but hey...atleast they waiting until after the work day or else i would be ROYALLY screwed

Does RIM offer a 'network status' web page or anything for situations like this?

I have been getting resend messages all day. The person sending it to me is getting my address returned as an error. RIM is horrible. At least I am not paying for this service.

Let's be patient. Perhaps RIM is implementing some of those workarounds due to the litigation from the patent infringement.

They can simulate the network internally to see if a workaround would work. they don't need to "down" the entire BIS market-wide network for that. besides...if they have scheduled maintenance such as that, they need to NOTIFY CUSTOMERS. they can't just do whatever they want whenever they want. they should show some respect and say that there could be outages so please be patient...or something like that.

atleast it gives us peace of mind and allows us to prepare...instead of sending people running around as if they were chickens and their heads were cut off. honestly, i am not that tied to my device, but some people are my work are, who are working pretty much 24/7 and who are working with suppliers from china, australia, and finland...they are under multiple time zones and some of my co-workers need that constant access to email.

I just think it's time RIM have a network status page, or an "expected routine maintenance schedule"...do something. if they need to fix something, plan for it and allow us, the customers to plan for it as well.

other than that, RIM and Blackberry are amazing. with that said, i am passing out and i have to get up at 5:30am for another day at work at the office. yippee!
