The post was closed and so I'm opening a new thread. I should have done something else, please let me know.

I found a solution:
Go to add or remove programs. Choose the blackberry desktop app and click on remove. Then, choose modify and go through the steps. You'll see the 'launch at start-up' or similar option. Choose as you wish...

Or just copy the shorcut to the Startup group in your Start Menu.

What if you had already chosen the option to have it launched at startup and now you don't want it anymore at startup... that was the situation I was in...

This would be a solution for both situations.
