Can't view missed calls

When I miss a call it tells me and it has a window that asks if I want to view it. I click 'View' and half the time it will show them and the other times it won't. It will just go directly to a blank call log. The missed calls don't show up in my message list either like I have them set to do.
Speaking of the call log, on every phone before this one I have been able to press send and see the last 20 or so calls I either sent, received, or missed. Not so on my 8130. If I press send or click on the call log icon it just takes me to a screen that says 'Type a name or number to make a call'.
On top of all this, sometimes the missed calls will show up in my message list and as soon as I open it to view it goes away.
Oh and I just called my phone from another phone and it lit up like it was going to ring but never did ring. It still displayed a missed call though. I was able to view this one.
I am having other little issues with this phone but none so annoying as this one.
