Hi all, my Bold gives off a steady red light after turning on and thereafter gives 4 red blinks every short interval. Throughout this period the Bold does not go into the main screen at all. It just remains black.

I have tried the following:
1) took out battery for >48hrs
2) charge the battery for >5hours with wall charger
3) using JLcmdr, i cannot detect the device after many tries.

Please advice!

not sure how u came into the situation but, four flashes in a row means that ur OS is corrupted. Which means u have to reinstall ur OS by connecting ur phone to a pc or mac (finally), and use desktop manager to put on a fresh install of an OS. Now as for salvaging anything on the phone, not much of a chance unless of course u made a back up on a memory card (if u have one) before the corruption occurred.

Thats about all i know.

I have found that if you leave the battery in the phone and run JL_Cmder it will work.
