Default Data plan on BB

Please Login to Remove!

Hi BB user,
I consider to sw over to BB 8320 due to work concern,
Just like to find out if currently i with my telco data plan-iphone, heard fr the telco, BB using a seperate data plan something like BIS. Which mean i need to terminate exisitng data & add on BB data plan.

Likewise to find out from you , any idea using my current data plan, am i able go online (www) with its BB edge/gprs. w/o bis (Since unit come w/wifi, able to work & guess BIS it mean for sys BB server on push mail).

thank..

Wirelessly posted (My name is Bubbles)

Trying to understand your post: to properly use a BlackBerry the way it is meant to be used you will need a BlackBerry data plan, that will get you BIS on your device and then you will in turn get push emails and also be able to use PIN messaging.

Get the BlackBerry data plan and cancel the regular telco data plan.

If you want to use your BlackBerry without a real BlackBerry data plan, read this:

The Iphone plan is about as expensive as the BB data plan so it may be a wash for cost.

If your primary focus is email and business-grade communications: BlackBerry
If your primary focus is multimedia: iPhone.

Each is the king of it's genre. Each can dabble in the other's primary area of expertise, but that's not optimal. I found myself using different devices (other than BlackBerry) and trying more and more to make them behave like BlackBerrys. Big mistake, much frustration. Use the right tool for the job you're doing.
