I have Curve 8320 from TMobile. bought last month. This is my first BB device. Called TMobile this morning; BB specialist had to ask for help on this one. Said the battery icon is normally yellow for the Themes that come with device (except TMobile Zen, where the battery icon is filled with status bars). I SWEAR on my life that before last night the battery icon was GREEN. I was tinkering with WiFi mode (I have wireless router, but didn't sign up for Hotspot@home) and other stuff, and I noticed the icon was yellow. Couldn't find out anything else on this forum, and obviously I am having a hard time believing the nice TMobile lady. Please tell me I am not crazy!! Thanks so much!

The color of the battery icon on your homescreen is theme dependent. For instance, my fullt charged battery is light yellow also, using the L-dimension theme.

I always recall it as yellow... I am using the stock BB Dimension Icon theme.

The color doesn't dictate the charge status on the default themes, it is typically how "full" the icon is, IE from left to right, is it full of color or empty? If it is full and yellow, then the battery is full, whereas if it is just a frame or box that is empty, then the battery is low.

It sounds like your meter is fine, you just may not have payed much attention to the color before.

Ya, mine has always been yellow at full and as it goes down. But once it hits about 25% it turns red.....
