Anyone know how to remove the PTT from auto running or maybe remove this program from the bb 8820 all together, using a att 8820.

ok cool I think Ill skip that a little too difficult for me. Is their a way to reset the device instead of pulling out battery 8820?

Also if I wipe the device by going into security options, what does that do exactly, will it be like I just got it new from ATT and just reset everything up again?

Do you want to reboot it like a batter pull (Alt + Shift + Del), or a full wipe?

Yes, if you do a full wipe it will be reset to factory defaults AKA fresh out of the box.

The initial read on that post can seem a little laborious but I assure you the steps are easy to follow and you will do yourself a favor by following instructions on that optimize post.

Cool so to do full wipe I just goto security settings or something like that and choose wipe ?

That is what I would like to do in the future if I get too many apps on it.

Kinda extreme to remove some apps. Easier to delete through Options > Advanced > App or use the Application Loader when connected to the PC to delete or add multiple apps simultaniously.

Full Wipe: Options > Security > General setings > (BB Key) > Wipe {Yes, there probably is a better way}

Any 3rd party app can easily be deleted from the device. Removing PTT requires use of a PC.

After you get settled in with your new device, getting rid of PTT is not so hard. It does free up some memory but what I like best is when I het the menu button and then switch app the ribbon of applications open do not go across the screen telling me instantly that only the mandatory 4 apps are open and running.

Getting rid of PTT and some other junk leaves me with 34.4mb Free which makes for a very stable device
