Default another wifi problem

Please Login to Remove!

Hello! im new here and to the world of BB.. basically ive done a few searches and found some info on my problem but unfortunately it didnt help me fix it!

so, ive been given my mums old 9000 bold which was originally locked to 02, i unlocked it and now use a t-mobile sim.. it all works pretty flawlessly except for internet browsing using wifi.

In the settings menu, i tried to select 'hotspot browser' and i was given 3 choices; blackberry, firefox or IE browsers.. when i try to save any of the settings it reverts back to 't-zones' in the area in which i need 'hotspot', thus failing to allow me to use my home wifi connection to browse.

Since adding all my data to the phone; numbers, pictures etc.. ive found that there is a way to restore the phone to out of the box software wise, however im yet to resort to this as i fear il loose all my numbers, texts and emails etc..

Any help much appreciated.

Options - Advanced - Browser - Browser configuation
Change top option to hotspot, and save.

By options, i mean the wrench icon.

Have you resent the service books?

Have you tried other websites?
