Default Duplicated emails on Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

I have a user with a Verizon 8830 Blackberry that is getting duplicate emails on the device.
He is not getting them in his Outlook client. The BES account has been deleted and recreated. I remoted into his system and wiped the device and reinstalled the latest OS version onto his device. I have seen posting about this for BIS users but nothing for BES.

My BES is currently running 4.1. Has anybody had this problem?

Was Outlook checked for an auto forward rule to the device's verizon SMTP address?

wiping the device has ruled a device issue out, id agree with the above.
check outlook for a copy rule, also his IT policy set to default.

Default I asked those same quetions

The first questions I asked the user was if he had a internet email acount setup on the the BB. And if he was doing any forwarding. He says No. I will investigate with Verizon if he setup a verizon email account on the device.

Don't take the user's word for it. Don't even take the carrier's word for it.
Go into the user's device properties using BlackBerry Manager and look at the service books on the device. You'll know right away if there's a BIS account linked to it.

If you want to get dirty, then just give him a new IT Policy which blocks inbound BIS messages.
If the duplicates stop after the policy is applied, then you know the user set up a BIS account.
