Default NEW 7750 USER - NEED HELP SETTING UP ON MAC SERVER.

Please Login to Remove!

I just received my BB 7750 and am told by my outsourced mac tech, that he has no idea how to set up a blackberry to receive email. Useless.

Basically, my company has an X-Serve here in the office. When I go into Workgroup Manager, It will not allow me to add an additional email address under my current account. I can forward to another address, but then I cannot get email to my work computer, cause its going right to my blackberry.

Please help!!! Frustrated.

Thank you!

First off to receive email on your Blackberry you need MDS or BWC. If you don't have a BES server at your location you'll need a data package added to your voice plan through your carrier Bell/Telus?

Upon doing so you will have what is called a BWC account (Blackberry Web Client) where you can configure to receive from POP3 accounts sent from address, filters as well you'll have a dedicated email for you Blackberry. You can also check to leave copy on server this way you also receive a copy on your desktop.

Next syncing, PocketMac has just released PocketMac sync for Blackberry which will enable you to sync with Entourage, iCal, Address Book and stickies.

Set up my Blackberry Web Client account through Verizon. I am able to send email with no problem, but receiving is a nightmare. Not only does it take FOREVER to get an email, but sometimes I dont get it at all.

There has to be a better way. Help!

Within the Blackberry setup either under "Setup" or "Options" theres an option to enter your BB PIN and IMEI to registar with the network. Has this been done?
