Default 9700 no longer sends emails

Please Login to Remove!

I have recently had to do a complete wipe of my BB9700 and since then I have been unable to send emails. I can receive them no problem, but it will not let me send them. I have deleted and re-added my email account to my phone, but still to no avail.

How on earth do I go about fixing this?

Reregister on the host routing table.

Resend service books.

Do a battery pull.

I've tried the last two but I don't know what reregistering on the host routing table is. Can you walk me through it?

I use OS 6 and it is different from 5.0.

Should be something like this:

Options > Advanced Options > HRT (Host Routing Table) > click the menu key > click register

What are you connecting to for email? Ie. Bes, pop, Imap.

If pop or imap your out going setting could require tweaking.

It's IMAP. What do you think I need to do? I tried the reregistering thing and it didn't work.

Check the default messaging:
Options -> Advanced Options -> Default Servcies
Your email address should be listed here. If it is not, then change it.

Check the service book:
Options -> Advanced Options -> Service Book
Look for <email address> CMIME. If it is not there, you need to re-send the service books.

Check Email settings (Email Setup or Configure Email....it is usually found on the home screen or in the Settings folder) see if you email address is valid, perhaps you need to re-type your password.
