Default Blackberry Browser on Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all, this is my first post here (though I read a LOT of posts trying to get my BES server installed and after many late nights finally got it working - thanks to many previous posters and answers)

I have what I fear is a really stoopid question, but here goes. My Telco tells me that my plan (unlimited email) does not cover me for Internet, but if I use the Blackberry Browser instead of the Internet Browser, surfing is included because it uses the Blackberry APN and not the Internet APN.

This was fine on the 8700, but now we have a new Pearl and it only has one Browser on it (called just Browser). So how do I find out whether it is using the Blackberry APN ( = free Internet) or the Internet APN?

Thanks for any help you can give.

OK half answered my own question. found an option in Browser option that says Default Browser. You can change this to Blackberry Browser. Is there some way to make sure that this is using the right APN?

This happens on the 8800 too. How can you set it to where you can have multiple browsers on the home screen?

Not sure. There are two on the 8707, but only one on the pearl...

I'd love to use stuff like Skype on the Blackberry or use the BB as a modem, but I'm worried it is going to go over the Net and not my corporate network (so free for me!)
