Default Best Skins Ever has released the Javelin skin

Please Login to Remove!

I've had one of these on my Pearl for a couple of years. Great skin at a great price. No, I don't have anything to do with them, just happy with their product.

I just ordered mine. I've had them on my last two BBs. The last one saved me a screen and a lot of scratches.

It's not that hard. Just read the directions first. If you have a steady hand you can do it in a few minutes. The more time you take to prep and do it properly the better it will end up.

I tried doing it without on my pearl and it left finger prints under it. I finished the pearl with soapy water and it worked great. When I got my 8300 I used soapy water for the whole thing and it turned out great.

I purchased the Invisible Shield since I have one on my iPod Touch. Holy crap, I didn't realize all of the various pieces that this would come with for the 8900.

This may be a two day job.

I would consider investing on a couple of x-acto knives to aid in the placement and installation to avoid fingerprints under the skin.

I use x-acto knives installing decals on all my model cars and it makes placement MUCH easier and I avoid touching it. Works pretty well. I use the same technique to install the screen protectors and with care, I dont get any bubbles under it.

Take your time.

It's like doing microsurgery putting these things on right. I'd buy 2 if you're doing it for the first time so you have extra parts. And keep the liquid to a minimum. One dude bricked the screen under his Bold with too much water.

The sides, back cover, and camera piece are the most difficult, but with patience you'll get them on.

I usually buy two in case it's not perfect or after time they start peeling off.

I also keep a paper towel handy to suck up any extra liquid. I also take the battery out just in case. Not sure if that does anything but does give me a bit more piece of mind.
