Whenever I insert a 2GB MicroSD card in the BB Pearl 8100, the screen freezes and it doesn't go to the home screen unless I take out the memory card. This phone is T-Mobile phone that is unlocked and used on Rogers Wireless.

Whenever i put it in the adapter and put in the computer, it works fine, I tried reformatting. Any Help?

DId you format the card in the Handheld? Menu>Options>Advanced>Media Card>Menu>Format Card

Did you upgrade your OS?

I can't even get to the home screen. When I insert the memory card and put the battery back, the phone starts automatically, but its frozen with a white screen. I let it boot up for like 3 hours and nothing happened.

Is there any settings that I have to do in the phone before inserting the memory card? What format should I reformat the card to in the computer?

I would try and reformat on a computer. I had the same problem on a LG phone. They sent me a new phone and it still locked up. Once I formatted my SD card everything worked fin.

I know a BB is not a LG phone, but it was a similar problem.
