Default Question on Universal Search in Contacts?

Please Login to Remove!

Can anyone tell me if, when searching contacts with Universal Search, does it look for the target information in all fields?

In other words, quite often when I travel I want to look up my contacts in that city/town. Because I have over 2,000 contacts it is impossible for me to remember everyone's names. So if I type in Montreal for example, will the results of Universal Search list all my contacts where Montreal is listed in the "City" field of the Contact window?

OS5 will only do this if I add the word Montreal in the "Company" field, which I don't want to do as it messes up mailing lists etc. in Outlook.

Windows Mobile 6.5 will not do this natively from the Contacts program unless you have used "categories" to group cities. However, it can be done through the built-in Search Phone app.

And iPhone can not do it natively either unless you download 3rd party apps.

Strange behaviour - it should not be be that difficult to implement for RIM

Darn. I was so hoping this was the case. I like a lot about OS6 but that is a deal-breaker for me. I guess I will have to stick with WinMo for now.

Thanks.
