Default BB9700 won't power on after off

Please Login to Remove!

Hello people,

I'm Portuguese and my English is not very good... Sorry

I'm a new user of a blackberry bold 9700. I like very much this phone, however I think that my phone has a little problem.

When I Shut Down my BB I won't power on the phone... I have to remove the batery and put it again and the phone power on normally..

I just update my BB9700 with Desktop Manager and it doesn't resolve the problem.

I don't known what I have to do....

Someone can help me, please.

Thank you very much for all.

Does the red phone button work for other functions? Does it end a call like it is supposed to? Does it switch the display to the home screen when you press it?

That's my first thought, that the button is flakey or broken.

Have you dropped the device? Exposed it to moisture?

Is the blackberry still under warranty?

Hello,

Yes, the button works in other functions...

It is new phone and it happens at the first time.

I post this thread because i thought that the problem should be some configuration in the phone.

Probably, I have to change the phone. It has warranty and it just has 2 days.

Thanks for your opinion.

So, if you hold the red phone button, it powers off? But when you press it again, the device does not power on?

If that's the case, and you say you did a software update, then I don't know. It's strange that there doesn't seem to be a problem with the button.

See what others say. If it were me, I'd take it back to where you purchased it, ask that they show you what you are doing wrong, fix it, or replace it.

Post an update when you can.
