I need a way to get my company contact list onto our BlackBerries. The contact list is in a public folder. I do NOT want to copy the public folder into each user's mailbox, as what I've seen of that solution causes the address book to be merged into the BlackBerry Address Book application -- my users will not like it if I add 1,000+ business contacts to their personal contacts.

Wireless syncing isn't a must as the data doesn't change that often. But it would be a plus as our users don't use Desktop Manager currently.

I'm thinking of writing a channel push application that would convert the contacts to WML & push the file whenever it changes. The WML would just have names & phone numbers, not the full contact information.

Is there a 3rd-party app that can do something like this?

If its your companys contact list can you not use Active Directory and use the lookup function.

I agree with mattlane...import your PF contacts into AD contacts, in their own OU, and let BB users use Lookup to find them. (then delete the PF).
