EasyDialer support recently got a lot of reports of error net.rim.device.api.system.ControlledAccessExceptio n on devices with OS 6.0.

Please follow below steps to fix:

OS 6.0 devices:
- Go to Options, Device, Application Management.
- Highlight EasyDialer
- click menu key, select "Edit permissions"
- Allow All, and Save

OS 5.0 and older devices:
- Go to BlackBerry Options
- Go to Applications(It may be in Advanced Options)
- Locate EasyDialer, select menu "Edit Permissions"
- Change all permissions to allowed and save.

If your blackberry belongs to a blackberry enterprise server(BES), the BES may set a control policy which prevents from permission change. In this case please contact your BES administrator.
