When I got my Curve, I put my SIM card into it and had all my email addresses switched over to the Curve. Nothing is associated with the Pearl anymore. Let me give t-mobile a call right now to double check.

I just spoke with T-Mobile. No need to "RESET" the PIN number on the Pearl. You won't be able to access any old account info with the PIN number. The PIN number has nothing to do with a T-Mobile account. It's just an ID number for the phone itself.

So it's good to go! I'll ship it out tomorrow morning and send you the tracking info.

a white screen on a BB pearl is actually a known issue and can usually be resolved with a JLoader on it.

Can you give me a little more info on JLoader?

I talked to t-mobile and RIM tech support for hours trying to fix this and no luck.

RIM had be wipe the OS off the phone and then try to reload it without the battery in. Since I didn't see the hour glass spinning continuously after that, they determined the screen was toast.

The screen lights up...it just stays white.

Not without the egg timer spinning or a 507 error. jl_cmdr usually works on BB's that are in a continous reboot. LED red flash the egg timer start over again.

werd.

just received the phone today... the phone works just fine, just the screen itself is dead; backlight works, no actual display, just white screen.

but you can dial out and access all the functions... the OS loads up just fine, just the screen is kaput.
