Quick question...where do I find the meaning of all the icons. For example, all the faces on my contacts, some have a timer on them, some an x, what do these mean?

This question has probaly been asked many times, I just can't seem to locate the answer anywhere.

If I recall,
The X means unreachable or on phone.
The clock means delivered but not read (busy)

If you wonder what they are just scroll to that contact, hit the Blackberry button and select user details and it will tell you their status.
