Default Torch 9800 killing Belkin Vision Routers

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I have recently acquired a BB Torch 9800 and its great. Apart from the fact that when it is on and in wireless mode, it seems to lock my home Belkin N1 Vision wi-fi router/modem. I have powered off the phone, then booted the modem and all is well. I have two PCs working with this router, and they are fine if the phone is off. Once the phone has been on for a while, the wireless connection goes. When trying to reconnect from one of the PCs, I get the normal prompt to select which router to use, and it says it is trying to connect, but the wireless prompt on the taskbar shows no activity at all. After about a minute, I get the message that the router is unavailable. The only way to get it working again is by a reboot, as the hard-wired LAN connection seems to stop working as well.

I have tried changing channels on the router (went from Auto (channel 1) to fixed on channel 11), but this did not fix it.

We have a Belkin Vision router at work as well. Since I have had my BB, this needs rebooting nearly every day when I am in the office.

Does anyone else know of this problem, or a fix for it? I don't want to have to buy a new router.

Regards
