Just got a 7100g about a week ago. I'm new to blackberry's but I loved the feature when I put it in the holster that it automatically locks the keypad. after about 3 days use, it stopped working. I have checked the setting under security and it still says lock when holstering. Just for kicks I set it to not lock, saved, then changed it back to lock. It's a little annoying because I slip it in the case and buttons keep getting pushed. I'm not sure if there's anything else I can try. Thanks

Try resetting the BB by popping the battery out and back in. See what that does.

I had the same problem with my 7100g. If you're using the nylon holster that comes with the 7100g try this. Feel on the inside of the holster (both sides) for a small round magnet. Once you find both of them move them toward the top of the holster by flipping them. This solved my problem and now it will lock when it goes back in the holster.

That was it, the magnets had slid down the case somehow. Thanks for the tip.
