Just wanted to say hello. I am new to Blackberries having got one a month ago. Curve 8310. Love it!

Also updated the OS yesterday to 4.6 I think. Didn't want to go at first but eventually did. Wanted the video camera mainly. Ordered a 2G media card today.

Thank to you all for this site and your tech information. Keep up the good work.

I see that now. I was able to update by way of the info on this site. thanks to whoever posted that.

Question. Is the PIN safe to list here on the profile? Is it only used for messaging?

Yeah, it's not a security issue or anything. It's just a way for people to message you via BlackBerry Messenger.
